Learning about Essential Oils – Digestive Health

peppermintIf you know anything about me (and do please follow me on social media – icons below every post), you know that I’ve been living with an autoimmune digestive disorder since 1987. So digestive health is a biggie for me, and that’s why this is the very first topic I want to touch on.

I should preface everything by reminding you that Isagenix does not claim to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Our nutritional products are FOOD, and while essential oils are amazing, they are not miraculous and they are not medicine. If you have a serious issue, talk to your medical practitioner.

So, which of our oils is good for the digestion?

You may have said peppermint, and we have a beautiful single-oil peppermint. It smells and tastes lovely and soothing.

But we also have a blend called Tumbliss, which contains dill, spearmint, peppermint, lemon, carrot seed, cardamom, lemongrass and ginger! It can be applied, diffused or ingested (all with the appropriate precautions, of course – read the bottle first). It does a great job of calming and supporting my fussy innards.

You may be a fan of the DIY blending, but as someone who just wants something that works, I am delighted that I can just pull the Tumbliss out when I get rumbly in my tumbly. I’m not a chemist, I don’t play one on TV, and I’m grateful for the experts who researched this for me already. You may feel differently, of course!

Thanks for reading – stay tuned for the next in the series, which will be about something equally important (if not more so) – SLEEP!!

If you don’t want to wait, click the scheduler on the sidebar and let’s talk! I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
