I saw a list of recommended foods for shake day on an Isagenix Facebook group that was so Paleo, I wanted to cry. We’re talking real butter, fruit and vegetables, starch in moderation, grass fed beasts and wild caught fish. It all totally works.
I’m pleased to report that I was not hungry. I’d been using the shakes as a supplement while still eating all sorts of things before, but I’m actually sticking to a much better diet now that I’m getting the majority of my nutrition from the shakes. It’s very odd. I actually don’t want to eat junk. I wonder how long this will last.
Tomorrow is a cleanse day – in principle, I should be ingesting nothing but water (lots of it) and industrial amounts of the Cleanse for Life liquid pictured above. That, and Isagenix-approved chocolate. What’s not to love?
I should make clear that the Cleanse for Life is not a diuretic or a laxative. I would probably end up in hospital if I took the latter. It’s designed for nutritional support, not purging. I’ve been drinking small quantities of it daily for the last few days and have not had any ill effects. We’ll see what happens tomorrow! Stay tuned.
If you are interested in learning more, my Isagenix page isn’t quite finished yet, but you can start looking around there now. Let me know what you think!
Hey girl
Congratulations on taking your health to a whole new level.. My guess is the minerals and amino acids in the organic shake are feeding your brain and helping you to feel physically and mentally satisfied! It’s an awesome journey, have fun!
Thanks, Erin! It’s all very exciting.
