Are You Ready to Share Your Mission?

This past week, I spent pretty much all of Thursday and a major part of Friday online, at a virtual conference. I heard many wonderful speakers, but I was particularly struck by something that was said by Marina Simone, who is one of my heroes.

She said that we should focus on sharing our mission with the people whom we desire to serve. That’s you.

You may or may not know my mission, which is to help you choose life. My mother passed away at the age of 69 from complications of diabetes, and never got to see my children grow up. I am determined not to have that happen to me, and I don’t want that to happen to you, either. We both deserve better.

I know how hard it is to make the choices that will help you choose life, even when it seems like a no-brainer. It’s not that my mother didn’t know how to take care of herself, she just had other priorities until it was too late. I myself struggle sometimes – it can be so tempting just to take the easy way, to grab unhealthy food or to stay up too late, or to skip the workout. Believe me, I know.

So that’s my mission – helping myself, and you, choose life. What about you, do you have a mission to share? Are you ready to put yourself out there and tell the world what your mission is?

I’d love to hear it, so I can cheer you on and help you make it a reality!
